The hotel room was gigantic and had everything we needed. It had a lot of character with large bay windows looking out onto trees, a nice hot shower, and a huge bathroom. There was no extra charge for bringing a dog. The bed was comfy, the room was very clean, and the staff were really helpful and chatty. The location was great for the goyt valley, and my partner enjoyed the bar. However, the service seems to be struggling with the old building and the hotel has some structural issues being addressed.

The location was excellent, opposite a lovely park and just a walk through the park to the center. They even let us leave the car on their car park while we explored, which was very convenient.

The dining experience seemed to lack in some areas, and the restaurant staff were not well-versed in customer service. However, there were freshly prepared eggs available, which was a nice touch.
